Luxembourg / Munich, May 21, 2025 – WinIT GmbH (WinIT), a German-based leader in secure communication solutions for authorities, critical infrastructure operators, and emergency services, has chosen Stellar, through its Luxembourg-based entity Stellar Telecommunications S.à.r.l., to power the next generation of its WinSAT*GOV Fixed, and WinSAT*GOV OnTheMove solutions.

With an unyielding vision to ensure zero downtime and resilient, sovereign communications even during disasters and crises, the BOScom ECOsystem solutions by WinIT are engineered for organizations where failure is not an option, including government response teams, firefighters and ambulance services. WinIT chose Stellar’s all-inclusive solution GLOBBLE Orbit to deliver seamless, hybrid orchestration of cellular, Wi-Fi, and satellite networks, ensuring WinIT customers enjoy uninterrupted, secure, and intelligent connectivity across both static and mobile deployments, wherever operations demand, fully integrated within the BOScom ECOsystem of WinIT.

Why are WinSAT*GOV Fixed, and WinSAT*GOV OnTheMove by WinIT the best options for emergency response teams?

The main challenge for emergency services in terms of communications solutions is instant and reliable uptime. That is why WinIT launched their WinSAT*GOV Fixed, and WinSAT*GOV OnTheMove products, all connected by Stellar.

The mission of WinSAT*GOV Fixed is to provide reliable communications on the scene with instant satellite backup (with combined cellular support) for emergency control stations, while WinSAT*GOV OnTheMove provides a reliable system for mission-critical communications on the road, ideal for police, fire departments, medical services, and mobile crisis teams. “Thanks to Stellar, WinIT is the only provider today in Germany able to offer an "interface-free" environment to emergency responders, and we have the ambition of deploying over 5,000 GLOBBLE Orbit devices across Europe before 2030”, stated Daniel B. Winter, CEO of WinIT GmbH.

What makes Stellar the obvious choice for WinIT?

Emergency services require connectivity that adapts instantly to infrastructure collapse, remote deployments, and cross-border missions. Traditional single-operator networks alone cannot guarantee the level of resilience required. WinIT thus selected Stellar for its BOScom ECOsystem solution as it offers ubiquitous internet access with GLOBBLE Orbit; Stellar was also chosen for its utmost understanding of the requirements of the final users, and its positioning as a one-stop-shop entity for handling multiple deployment scenarios in Germany and Europe on a larger scale.

Intelsat LEO, the perfect match for Stellar’s & WinIT's requirements for first responders in Europe

To meet the demanding requirements of its GLOBBLE Orbit for WinIT’s mission-critical communications, Stellar sided with Intelsat as its satellite partner of choice for this project. Intelsat’s privileged access to OneWeb’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) network, combined with its proven multi-orbit capabilities, ensures GLOBBLE Orbit is able to access a highly resilient and low-latency satellite connectivity - essential for emergency response operations – already valuable on its own, and significantly more impactful when combined with the multi-cellular offering orchestrated by Stellar too.

By adding Intelsat’s flexible, volume-based service model into the GLOBBLE Orbit solution, Stellar is able to support scalable deployments tailored to the evolving needs of public safety teams across Germany and beyond. “Working with Intelsat quickly proved to be the obvious choice for Stellar to address WinIT’s needs for BOScom, especially when considering the great operational flexibility of Intelsat, united to the European-centric demands of WinIT’s own customers”, highlighted Simone La Torre, Managing Director of Stellar in Luxembourg.

Through the adoption of Stellar’s hybrid connectivity solutions and Intelsat’s trusted satellite network, WinIT is now taking a decisive step toward redefining the future of public safety communications via the BOScom ECOsystem. Together, these technologies are setting new standards for how emergency response teams stay connected, resilient, and ready no matter the circumstances.
